There are no pre-drilled holes or anything to easily/quickly mount it to anything. But with the right tools and some creativity you could mount it to pretty much whatever you want. It is your basic "wet floor" sign you see in stores, so yes, a strong wind or rowdy kids will easily knock it over. Personally, I wouldn't make it a permanent mount unless you're never going to move or transport it. Keep that in mind when you're thinking about what to use. You could easily put some sandbags in front, behind and in the opening to mounting it to 2x4's on locking casters if you wanted to move it around. Go to your local grocery or department store (or home improvement store) and ask to take a look at their wet floor signs and you could see what your dealing with. Hope this helps and good luck.

Yes you can. If you have a computer and printer, you can design a sign in a software like PowerPoint and print. Standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper fits perfectly.

The plastic stand itself would weather fine. but if it is windy you may want to tie a weight to hang down the center from the top (like a balloon weight). If you have paper inserts, they are only covered by a thin plastic sheet, so they would get wet. Since the slot is made to fit 8.5 x11" paper, you could have your sign printed onto plastic, kind of like the 'For Sale' signs you see around, you'd just have to find the right printing place for plastic sheets. OR you could just put the paper signs in sheet protectors (that have plastic all around the paper)
