Kraven the Hunter is the visceral, action-packed origin story of UK how and why one of Marvel's most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless father starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared. Not bad as such, but could have been so much better.
This film drew me in with its undoubtedly exhilarating opening sequence, but unfortunately, after that, it began to fall apart. A lot of this comes down to poor editing. Some of this was substantive (one moment he's packing his bags in sunlight, the next on a ledge at night), almost no examination of the nature of the protagonist's newfound powers, where did the bear come from, etc., but much was about pacing and tone, which was often uneven and choppy, this breaking up mood. One got the impression that the original draft was much longer and they sought to cut it down at a late stage. As a consequence, there was a strong sense of potential missed: not bad as such, but could have been so much better.

It's where Marvel is at the moment.
It's another film that has the potential to be a good series but it seemed to miss the mark for me. It feels rushed. Everything about Kraven has been thrown at the viewer, with no time to really get to know the character. I gave it 5 stars because the actors did the job they were asked and they did it well and the plot was interesting but I know that in a few weeks, I will have forgotten quite a lot about it and I probably won't watch it again for a long, long time. It seems to be the same with a lot of the Marvel films at the moment. I think they are trying too hard.

Really solid movie
Honestly, this is a solid movie. Wasn't sure how it'd work without Spider-Man, but it's surprisingly pretty good. Shame we won't see more of Aaron as Kraven. He nailed it.

Non il peggiore dei film del Sony spiderman universe. Apprezzo tutto tranne il cattivo finale per il look
