Purchased this as I was only getting 10 mbps in my upstairs bedroom and am now getting 20 - 30! Didn't need to use enclosed drive cd as it did everything automatically. It set itself up as wifi2 and all I had to do was disable wifi1 (my laptops built in wifi) and connect to wifi2. It blinks red when active and not blue which puzzled me a little as it works perfectly but as some reviewers have referred to an antenna which this model doesn't have I can only think this is an updated model. With some other wifi adapters flashing red relates to the download speed being below 48mbps so perhaps that is it. Running updates is now superfast whereas before it took forever and the Windows 10 anniversary update was a doddle. Really recommend.

Throughput is very good as well as range
Technology is getting smaller and smaller these days. I remember the times of full sized USB wireless adapters. This supports all ratings A/B/G/N on the 2.4ghz spectrum and installs on Windows 10 with no issues whatsoever. Throughput is very good as well as range. I've since bought more of these for the items that I can't run a cat6 cable to!

Don't bother
Doesn't work, I plug it in and it says Internet access, but I try and connect and it immediately drops connection.

300m mini Linux Lbuntu 15.04 (Ubuntu variant)
Linux Lbuntu 15.04 &15.10 (Ubuntu variant) worked straight out the box on WPA2 enterprise with MSCHAPV2 - signal strength is not bad either considering its size, has remained stable so would recommend. lssub = Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8192CU 802.11n WLAN Adapter Chipset = RTL8192CU
