American Standard 4175701F15.002 Bathtub, 1.5 GPM, Polished Chrome

I got this to replace a basic Delta I bought from Lowe's. That one lasted about 5 years (also had to replace the sprayer cartridge after 3 years). That Delta was bought to replace the original Delta that lasted 5 years. I wanted to be done buying faucets, so I searched for one that had a good reputation for reliability. I found this one, it had good reviews, it was about $45 more than the other ones I'd bought. I was willing to spend more to get something that would (hopefully) last.So far, I'm very impressed. This thing is SOLID. About twice as heavy as my old one. Brass construction. Minimal plastic. It doesn't flex and move during use. And just satisfying to use. Smooth positive motion with good feedback when using the handle or pivoting the the spout. Just a pleasure vs. the cheap-feeling one I had. The one weak point is the sprayer. It's very light-weight. Works fine, but it doesn't have the solid feel of the main unit. Overall though, I'm very pleased and glad I spent the extra time and money to upgrade from the basic model.

This was a replacement for another kitchen faucet that sprang a leak internally. This faucet has the design I like with the one handle and separate spray.

Instructions simple/straightforward, but installation was difficult due to limited space. Would be better to have a wider aperture or different secure system vs. using pipe stems to secure faucet and attach water hoses. W/o pro tools- very difficult to get in the very tight spaces between sink & cabinet walls to tighten hoses. Start by connecting water sprayer hose first - nearly impossible as directed once everything else is in place. Would be easier if all hoses could be attached from above before dropping into sink holes. This gets 4 stars ironically because there appears to be design weakness where sprayer hose attached to faucet water - causing a slight drip under pressure. But the customer service rep who called me back after 30 min was so professional, but conversational, that it boosts the products rating. Sending me a whole new sprayer & hose assembly. After dumping the mold faucet, CLR & SS polish spray, whole sink looks and performs like new.

Love it. Worked perfectly as we were replacing an earlier similar model. Working great!

This is our second purchase of this item. It's worked for so long I can't recall when I installed it. This new one is a backup for when the old wares out.

This Faucet Came with no hoses and no paperwork, and I can't find out what size of hoses to order for it.

This item is fine but has no connection for a sprayer which I didn't know when I bought it.

Very good quality at a reasonable price. It is a little aggravating when it makes a quick noise in the a spray valve when first turned on.

No instructions needed frankly. Although a two hole unit, it has an anchor until the tap that might require a small centre hole to flush mount properly.

This style of kitchen facet is a bit of a throwback, while many of this type which matched our old facet c.1980 are available online with not much searching, they are simply not carried in the displays of bricks and mortar stores anymore. I was able to install it in an hour even with having to adjust my plumbing because under sink facets were not installed originally. Pay attention to the shipping window, it was given as over two months long, and took half of that to be shipped. In my case it was worth it and we made due with the sloppy broken handle as we waited.
