Q: Why doesn't it contain Peperine?

Don't know--guess they're behind on the research? I solved the problem by taking these with foods I'd used a lot of freshly ground pepper on. Since then, I've switched to Schwartz Bioresearch turmeric formula that contains a black pepper extract but probably any brand that mixes in peperine would be what you're looking for.

Q: Where is the tumeric sourced from? (specifically, what country/countries?)

Not known. Used to take this product but quit. It contains magnesium stearate, a chemical caking agent. Although web largely indicates not harmful (? yet look up what it is) one has to ask 2 things: Why did they stop using natural caking agents & 2: Should you ingest a vitamin that has a chemical in it to hold it together? Some natural companies have stopped carrying this supplement because of VMS ingredient. I say your best alternative is buy it in organic spice form at Whole Foods & add it to food. The origin is not as important (it is but) as are the other ingredients companies are adding to vitamins that nullify their benefit. Protect you health, read fine prints.
