Actually worked! - But not right away.

My old car's ('03 Subaru ) AC developed a leak where it would stop working within a couple days of a refill. I tried some other similar stop-leak products but only meant for worn seals etc that had the refrigerant included without success. The estimate for repairs was $900 which is more than I was willing to fix a car I intend on replacing soon.**The text on the packaging does explicitly state that the product is not appropriate for a leak was fast as mine**I decided to give this stuff a try and immediately refilled the AC unit after as instructed, much to my dismay (and no surprise) the AC stopped working again within days and I gave up. I decided that I would add $4.50 refrigerant before the next few road trips and start shopping for a new car before I create a new hole in the ozone layer.A week later I needed the car and it was very hot out so I refilled the AC again expecting it to stop working within a couple days again and here I am over 5 weeks later and the AC still works! I've delayed buying a new car because of this.EDIT: 1.5years later and still holding up! It might not work for you but it’s certainly worth trying.Edit June 2019: 2 years later and AC still works! A little less cool this summer but will add some refrigerant soon

Not good

The hose that comes with the ac stop leak is vary cheap when using it leaked out from the hose and the fitting shooting the refrigerant all down the engine compartment. Needless to say the dye now all over the engine compartment made the leak detect useless. Maybe just got a bad hose but looks cheaply made.

3 weeks and counting

My son and I are restoring a black and red 89 Iroc z. Cool-looking, but murder in the summer sun. The seller swore that the AC worked, but it had a leak, and he wasn't kidding. Fully charged, the AC worked great. But after bringing the charge up to mid-level with three 12-oz cans of replacement R134a, the system was down to near zero in one or two days. And it's 90+ here in Maryland with 70-95% humidity. And we're saving our pennies for good headers, not AC (yet). And in this weather with crazy humidity and sudden thunderstorms, opening the T-tops doesn't cut it. What to do, what to do...............So after reading the reviews, we tried this ID brand sealant. I wasn't hopeful, because our leak was major. But we hoped to limp by until cooler fall weather, and then do major repairs next spring.Three weeks later, the AC is still blasting out cold air and the charge level appears to be spot-on. I added this leak stop and then another three 12-oz cans of R-134a. IMPORTANT: If you have a can tap with a slash tip that punctures the top of an R134a can, it won't work with most leak-stop cans. So buy this one because it has the correct can tap, which uses a pin to push down a valve in the can.Eventually I'll have to buy a compressor kit with the dryer and piping, and also a vacuum pump. But for now, this stuff seems to have saved our keysters, allowing us to focus on more engine mods.

My leak was bigger than what the product calls for.

My leak was too bad and did not fix the huge leak but it slowed the leak down to a crawl. The recharge lasted a month before it leaked out again. Before this product the recharge would not last a day. That being said, I still have to replace parts. Good product and it would have worked if my leak was not so big.

Did not work.

As an HVAC technician i had high hopes for this product as a similar product for residential hvac works flawlessly. My truck is a 2014 chevy Silverado plagued with the leaky condenser. My system would hold a vacuum for over 20 minutes and hold a charge for about 3 days but this product did not seal my leak even after recharging 3 times. I just ordered a new condenser.

product leaked out as I was screwing on hose.

product leaked out as I was screwing on hose. I wasn't able to get any into the A/C low pressure take off. Also ruined the blacktop on my driveway. made a huge raised orange stain. Hose must have been defective. I am asking for a replacement can. We will see if they do it or not.Update: Amazon sent me another can within a couple of days of my request. Thank you Amazon. My rating has gone from 1 star to 5 stars. Product didn't leak this time and appears to have fixed my A/C. Good product. Also my wife scrubbed the area where the product had leaked over the driveway with Dawn detergent and now the stain has been greatly minimized.

Did not work!

Did not work for me. Followed instructions to a tee. After two days all freon had leaked back out. Not only out purchase price but also four cans of freon. Hose was too short to reach on my 2011 Acadia. Not a happy customer!
