Anyone know where I can find a replacement lid? Dog thought it was a nice chew toy.

prob buy a new stove. (Sucks) I have never seen one separately but you may contact the company or look specifically at the fire maple site for replacements, trade dog for llama they don’t eat lids and carry stuff 😀

Can you use a 100g cannister or does it have to be the 230g one?

You can use 100g, 220g (Coleman), 240g (other brands), and even the larger canisters. However, unlike what some people have posted, and what the false advertisements show or say, you can NOT pack the 220 Coleman or 230 (other brand) cannisters inside the pot with the stove, for storage. The cannister will fit fine without the stove, but with the stove it sits about .5cm too high, so the lid will not latch. (if someone has, I'd like to see a picture of how they do it, because it simply will not fit)

All we have anywhere close is coleman fuel, does it fit? 220-230 ? what brand does fit? people say none

Any brand of isobutane/propane cannister with a standard lindal valve (MSR, Jetboil, Snow Peak, Olicamp, Optimus, and many others) will work. Only certain sizes will fit packed inside the stove.

Each brand has a slightly different fuel mix, which make little difference in the summer, but a significant difference in very cold weather. 
The best brands for cold weather are Olicamp (25%propane, 75% isobutane) and MSR (20%propane, 80% isobutane). Jetboil would be my third choice, it's probably the same as MSR, but they don't publish the mix. More propane is better, and isobutane is much better than butane, so avoid butane.

Propane cannisters (the big heavy steel green ones) will not fit normally, but there are inexpensive adapters available that will allow you to do this. It's a good idea for car camping, especially in cold weather, as propane is cheaper and works better in the cold. But these cannisters are way too heavy & bulky for backpacking.

FYI there's a way to refill the small cannisters from big ones, it just requires a $15 adapter and maybe a scale for safety. That is much cheaper in the long run, and also more convenient, as you can always leave with a full cannister.

Is the x2 more wind-resistant than the x3? It looks like the x3 has much bigger cutouts and less wind protection. (question for seller only)
