I know some of this was my fault for not double checking, but the way it was presented on the website made it NOT obvious, that this is a TRANSMITTER only. It is an additional piece that will not work on it's own. I was disappointed because I thought it was a simple two part piece. The logo in the upper right corner, probably reinforced that idea because it looks like two pieces from the picture. Anyway, to return it was 6 dollars, so I only got 3 dollars back from the original purchase. Just be aware when ordering that this is ONE piece.

Really like the Cat Caller product. It has saved us hours of searching for cats since we bought the first one two years ago. A few issues however keep me from giving it 5 stars.Biggest negative is that we have had to purchase 3 sets of these over the last couple of years due to beepers that quit working for one reason or the other. Some of the ones that quit working clearly had moisture damage (rain?) but other just quit working for no apparent reason.Batteries in the first set we bought were almost worthless. I suspect it was old stock and the batteries had degraded. Once I put new batteries in the transmitter and receiver everything worked fine.
