All logs come directly from source in the Scottish Highlands, and are cut from Larch in overstood ations which have naturally fallen. No trees are felled to create this product..

Samurai Woodman Quality Assured Rustic log slice, very Christmassy looking with some areas of the outer bark covered in naturally occurring moss. Perfect as a Christmas or wedding cake stand or a decorative center-piece. Cut from native European Larch or Spruce, with attractive grain and growth ring markings. The log slices are not always completely round, however, they are listed by the smallest measuremeant across the slice if looking to fit a cake. There are other sizes available, please see other listings. I try to ensure that you receive a pristine log but due to the nature of the product, there may be some slight imperfections, which add character and uniqueness, or loose bark. Please note that greenwood can move slightly in a natural way as it dries. There is no guarantee that the product will not split over time and it may only last this Christmas season. Please unwrap the product as soon as you receive it and keep it in a dry, cool, ventilated environment to reduce movement and prevent mildew. You can use the log as received or sand for a smooth finish. It is recommended to place the cake on a thin cake board before placing on the wood. Order as near to the date of the intended celebration as possible, two weeks beforehand is ideal. The log supplied may not be the one in the picture but will be from the same stock of timber. All logs come directly from source in the Scottish Highlands, and are cut from Larch in overstood ations which have naturally fallen. No trees are felled to create this product.
