Superb Gumbo Base!
Absolutely superb gumbo base! Just as exceptionally good as I remember it as a kid growing up in S. Louisiana. If you love gumbo, this is the base you have been looking for!

Best gumbo base ever!
This is an awesome, authentic Louisiana Gumbo base. I love it. It is good simply adding your seafood, but I prefer to also add some sautéed onions, garlic, green peppers and a can of diced tomatoes. Put the seafood in during the last 5 minutes.

Simple and delicious. They nailed it, just what Louisiana gumbo should taste like.
Excellent.We add a pound of chicken and a pound of sausage. Easy easy... And delicious.If you have time add a few sauted onions to make it outstanding.My brother Bill, in Baton Rouge turned me on to this Blue Runner gumbo.Had some last night. 2 cans with a lb of chopped chicken and a lb of sausage. It doesn't get any easier, and its great. About to order some more.Their "Creole Chicken Fricassee Base" is also great... but seems to be sold out.Uncle George knows what he's talking about!

Blue Runner is the easist way to make great Gumbo
If you love great Gumbo and don't like the hassle of making a roux, Blue Runner is your solution. Blue Runner is your Gumbo base and you add your own meat (shrimp, sausage or chicken) and vegetables. You can't make a bad Gumbo with Blue Runner. It is a staple in our pantry.

Best gumbo around!
As a native New Orleanian living out of state, I truly appreciate Blue Runner's canned gumbo base. It has a deep roux which saves me time at the stove, and it's as close to authentic as I've been able to find. We've gifted it to other family & friends who are now believers also. Great product - Bon Appetit.

Great product line...
Everything I expected from Blue Runner products. I'm from New Orleans and have been enjoying their line of food products for years. aA wonderful piece of home delivered to my door. Couldn't get much better. Thanks!!!!!! upon opening product sent I was sent the wrong gumbo base. I ordered as per invoice seafood base and received creole base. it is not the same product. a bit disappointed cause I'm stuck with something I didn't order with out any recourse. Very unhappy..still love the product line just bummed out that I was sent whatever vs. what I ordered
