No. It’s very soft and cushioned.

Are they a pair or are they sold separately?

They are sold in pairs. Very cushioned and comfortable.

Does this include two heel protectors or one?

My package included two heel protectors.

I sleep only on my right side. (Sciatica) This puts my left heel in contact with the bed all night, causing blisters. Think this will stop that?

Yes, these wi;; help with the sores and blisters that are caused sheets rubbing on the heels. I had that problem and used these booties to get relief. Thee booties do tend to slip off the foot easily when you move around in bed. Sometimes I used medical tape to make the bottie a bit tighter (avoid attaching the tape to skin to avoid more skin problems.)
