Faucet Extenders

The Munchkin Extend Faucet Extender (2 count) is a really helpful little product for toddlers learning independence with handwashing. It brings the water stream closer to little hands, which makes it much easier for kids to reach and encourages them to wash their hands on their own. It’s easy to install and remove, and it fits most standard faucets without much hassle. The design is simple but effective, and it’s been a nice addition for promoting hygiene routines. Overall, I like it as a practical tool for toddler independence and easier handwashing, especially during potty training and daily bathroom routines.

I bought the Munchkin Extend Faucet Extender set to make it easier for my toddlers, ages 3 and 1, to wash their hands independently, and it’s been a game changer. Installation couldn’t have been simpler—just slip it over the faucet and it’s ready to use. The flexible material feels durable yet soft, so I’m not worried about it breaking with daily use. The extender brings the water stream forward by just enough that my kids don’t have to lean dangerously over the sink or ask for help every time. Handwashing is now something they actually look forward to, which is a win for both hygiene and independence. I also appreciate that it’s easy to remove when adults want full faucet reach or when it’s time to clean. The neutral design blends in better than I expected—it doesn’t look out of place in the bathroom or kitchen. The fact that you get two in a pack is great for multi-bathroom households. It’s one of those small, inexpensive products that makes a surprisingly big difference in everyday routines. If you’ve got little ones learning independence, this is a must-have.

Our 17-month-old son is at that stage where he wants to do everything himself — especially washing his hands. He climbs up on his little stool with so much pride, but the frustration of not being able to reach the faucet was starting to make those independent moments less enjoyable for everyone. Enter the Munchkin Extend Faucet Extender — and what a game changer! It easily attaches to our bathroom faucet (no tools needed!) and brings the water stream just far enough out so he can reach it without standing on tippy toes or needing a boost from mom or dad. The flexible design makes it a breeze to put on and take off, and it’s held up really well to daily use. It’s such a simple concept, but it makes a huge difference in our routine. Our little guy now happily washes his hands after meals and before bed, and we love watching him gain confidence in doing things on his own. Highly recommend for any toddler parents looking to foster independence (and cut down on hand-washing battles)!

These are great to have on hand when grandchildren visit, or, as in my case, as a post surgical tool for the bathroom. Following Surgery, I was not allowed to bend over, so having the water brought closer to me, aided in brushing my teeth and washing my hands. They’re fairly economical and give you good value for money because they come in a two pack, however, they don’t fit every unique faucet. Many high-end faucets have spouts, and the lip might not be wide enough to fully secure the extender to the faucet. Installation is easy if you have the appropriate spelt. Appearance wise, they are clearly preschool looking, but that is their purpose. They are made from a fairly sturdy plastic material and may seem stiff at first, but they do loosen up for manipulating the water tray so you can have the flow where you need it.

**Update - After 6 months of use I would say these are still a helpful tool to have, but there are a few things to pay attention to. First, they are a little tricky for adult hands on small sinks. We have one on a tiny pedestal sink in a half bath and sometimes my hand hits it just right and water launches out of the sink. I do not have that problem on the normal sizes sinks because my hand is not as close. Second, water tends to sit in the top section right under the faucet so it get a little mildewy. However, I just try to remember to take it apart and clean it every so often to keep things sanitary. They come apart really easily and cleaning them only takes a few seconds. These are great! They are such a simple design, but really make sink time for my toddler so much more enjoyable. My 2 year old son is a shorty and was nowhere near being able to reach the faucet himself. So instead of trying to hold him over the sink with his tummy pressed against the counter, he can now reach the water while on his stool. Due to the flexibility of the silicone adapter piece, these fit both our bathroom and kitchen sinks without any issues and allow a good range of angle adjustment. Also, they are so easy to remove that you can easily pop them on and off if you prefer to use the sink without it. Such a good buy!

Brilliant invention! I want to buy more and just take one with me everywhere. These are so handy and easy - just pop them onto the end of the faucet. I have added these to my list of baby gifts for everyone I know.

It’s a must. Keeps the sink area neat. Great for toddlers- kids. Easy to put on. Very sturdy. Has lasted about 1 year so far. Looks like it will last for a few years. Great value for money. Does not impede water flow.

Great for my toddler . Easy to put on. Good size for my small sink. Definitely stays on. Compatible with the curved faucet.

not sure how we coped until we had these. Really good invention to help small children be independent at the basin. Easy to clean, easy to pop on and off, I think it would fit most taps.

Does the job, water isn't splashing and the water come off smoother on hands. Toddler and senior can both benefit from stretching their hands in, closer reach. 💯👐A plus!

Definitely like this product, fits on most taps. Makes washing hands much easier!

These are great tap extenders, work as advertised and have made it so much easier for my toddlers to wash their hands independently. The two pack is great for multiple taps in the house, or to have a spare for travelling/when at friends and families’ houses. Would definitely recommend.

Le quedó muy bien a mis lavamanos incluso siendo de boquilla gruesa. Me está ayudando bastante ahorita que mi pequeña quiere lavarse las manos sola, con la extensión y su banquito le queda excelente.
