Used this to brush up in skills for pre interview tests. Very varied liked the explanation of how you arrive at the answers. This book gave me exactly what I wanted even if it didn't know what I wanted at the time.

An overall very useful guide. I found the variation in difficulty to be helpful, and built up well to the more advanced questions like the one shown. I brought the book direct from this company’s website having purchased from them before - I always find the quality and information included in their guides to be excellent!

Mathematics is exact, and a book of mathematical problems needs to be similarly exact. This book is not exact. So far I have only read through the examples and I have found errors all over the place, for example page 20, what is 3/7 of 700. Well by inspection, the answer is 300. The book explains 2 ways to calculate the answer; 700÷7×3=300, correct. 3÷7×100=300 NOT CORRECT! page 31, problem on areas, question specifies lengths in cm but calculations are in metres, so a shape whose longest side is 500cm long has an area of 0.11 hectares. Page 32, values taken from the graph are wrong. Page 34, exchange rate is specified as 1.1.46, not 1.46. Page 41 q18, 429,485+3.586=429488.586, not 433,071. Page 48, q2 is the same question as q15 on page 41.Who has proof read this, it is appalling. There should be a way of knowing when you are buying a self published / published by Amazon book, the quality is very poor. As you flick through the book you can see how the font and font size change as different bits have been copied and pasted from different sources, the authors could not even be bothered to rewrite the material to maintain a coherent style. What is even more laughable is that this is the second edition, and so the authors had time to read their own book (and maybe try some of the problems) but they cannot even be bothered to read it.
