Fiskars Heart Shape Craft Hole Punch - Handheld Paper 1/4" Single Hole Punch with Cushioned Grip - Scrapbooking and Greeting Card Arts Tool

I purchased these to cut out wool felt circles for berry appliqués on a project I was making. They don't cut entirely through the wool felt (I didn't expect them to), but they cut through enough it to allow me to easily see where to cut them the rest of the way with my scissors. They are comfortable to use. Fiskars makes a very good quality tool, the workmanship is guaranteed for life, and I have always been pleased with their scissors and rotary cutters.

Quality hole punch, works great!

Believe it or not, I used this to get around the entire edge of a double-layered fleece blanket. QUEEN sized. It’s patchwork and I wanted to make it look more finished as the seams are on the outside, so I punched with this tool all the way around, using the edge of the tool itself as a guide for spacing. I then used the holes to crochet a border around the blanket, which I managed across two days.It got the tiniest bit dulled and yet it made it ALL the way around. My hand did get a little sore but it was manageable. I didn’t have to use both hands to punch, which was nice.I am relieved to have found this tool through a YouTube video that suggested it for adding crochet to fleece!

Perfect for project requiring very small holes.

This punch looks like cheap junk, with its shiny, thin, stamped-steel handles, but it punches a clean 1/8-inch diameter hole every time in every kind of material I've tried to punch with it, from a single sheet of copier paper to the thickish felt-like material I bought it for. (Since I use the tiny 1/8-inch circles I punch out, not the holes they leave behind, I removed the very tightly-sprung chad-catcher so I can see exactly where I'm punching from the bottom side; it was very easy to remove using a thin-bladed screwdriver.)A week or so ago I saw a much better-looking 1/8-inch punch that gets even better (although lots fewer) reviews than this one does, at around twice the price (but still under $10), so I ordered one. It's the EK Tools Heavy Duty Punch, 1/8-Inch Circle. It has hefty, beautifully designed and manufactured painted cast-aluminum handles. It looks and feels like a much better tool than this one, but it cannot punch a clean hole in anything.The handles are great but the punch is sloppy, with far too much clearance between the punch and its mating hole, so some of the material you're trying to punch (even thin paper) gets pinched between them rather than cut. I returned the first pair, but the replacement was just as bad, so I gave up on it and came back to this one, which looks and feels cheap but does its job perfectly.(I noticed that Martha Stewart is selling that EK Tools punch under her own brand name at a 50% higher price, which proves again that she's into looks more than performance--but into making a buck more than anything.)

Easy to use. Makes clean holes in card-stock. Not sure how durable the plastic cover on the handles will be over time though.

2/1/24 Love fiskars punchesIf you have been looking for a standard round circle ⭕️ punch this is it. This would be your regular notebook hole punch.This size is so hard to find in store and no one online labels it’s as standard size.The Rubber grip is perfect for projects that will require multiple punchesWhat is confusing here on Amazon is that they sell the standard metal version labeled as 1/16th I ordered that one and the hole punch was tiny.I ordered the 1/4th and this is the correct one if your looking for a standard punch .Please see post it sample the punches are perfect just don’t push the puncher all the way to the end or it makes small indents to paper. I’m thinking this may be a defect. I will order another punch and update. I own many fiskars hole punch makers and none of them does the small indents. It’s bothering me so I must order another.
