Product will not charge! Unfortunately, I ended up damaging the on/off trying to turn on the keyboard! It is not sufficient to return to manufacture/company for refund! I am not satisfied with this result! I got this keyboard a few months ago for my surface pro. It worked fine at first but occasionally would stop turning on for some time even though it was fully charged. After some time it would randomly start working again but this last time it appears to be totally dead. The most frustrating part is that I've barely used the key board and yet it still broke so fast. Maybe I got a faulty one but right now I have to believe its bad quality and would not recommend buying it.

The keyboard on my surface laptop was getting old and the covering was peeling. I got this keyboard to replace it. After charging it I connected it to my laptop and it works great. The keyboard is a little bouncy but once you get used to it it is fine. I like that it lights up when being used. I still don't know how to keep it lit up all the time. It goes on for a long time with a single charge but I keep it charging all the time. One of the things I don't like is that when I close my laptop for carrying the keyboard makes a bit chunky. That is the reason for the 4 star rating.

This product is awful. I have had it less than 8 weeks and the "b", "n", and arrow keys do not work. The mouse pad is so sensitive that when you hover slightly, it skips all over the paper that you're typing. The battery does not last. Poor, poor quality.Update 8/18: excellent customer service. Went above and beyond. Will update rating because of the timely resolution.

Product feels flimsy and cheaply made. It hardly lasted a year and stopped holding charge. Have to constantly plug it on to use it more than 10 mile. On top of that, the USB port doesn't properly hold a cord so any slight movement stops it from charging. Had a similar keyboard that last over 3 years from heavy use (grad school and a full time job). I hardly use my computer now and it still stopped working within year

All these bluetooth Surface keyboards are sourced from the same factory: they come in the same box, have the same instructions. I returned one that was dead on arrival from a different Amazon vendor and got this one instead, actually a few dollars less. This one works! At least for now. Buying stuff like this is just another round in the Amazon no-name Chinese electronics sweepstakes: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but at least Amazon is good about accepting returns. This keyboard has better key action than my two genuine Microsoft keyboards that stopped working in the last year, a testament to the quality control and design prowess of the company that wants to ram Windows 11 down your throat. Given how poorly the Microsoft keyboards are made, probably also the traces inside the Surface from the keyboard contacts to the motherboard, if your Microsoft Surface keyboard fails, and it will, you are better off replacing it with one that connects via bluetooth. You'll see: that's why there's a market for these bluetooth keyboards.

At first this keyboard worked great. It has features that I absolutely hated like the mouse is very sensitive. If you wave ypur hand over it the mouse will close the browser, jump to a different area and start typing, it will pull you out of the screen and zoom. Very frustrating! Now my keyboard won't even connect to my computer and if it does its for a minute then just loses connection. I had my last keyboard for 4 years this one for 6 months and it's damaged. Not because of me or what I did but something else. I had to get a new one after spilling tea on my other and this keyboard has been a headache from the start. Don't buy this keyboard!!
