Winter is coming
My old Honeywell CM927 finally gave up after years of service and slowly fading away. This is the only realistic replacement that I could find and it seems to work, I’ll know more when winter comes around again. I paired it with the receiver without any difficulty and at least the new thermostat has a display that can actually be read.

Wireless room thermostat
Instructions for matching to existing relay box a bit vague and not clear. Otherwise very good.

Zero after sales service
The concept of this product is excellent - it is a "plug & play" replacement for a Honeywell unit. No wiring or fitting required, just plug into the Honeywell receiver plate and off you go.Unfortunately the seller doesn't believe in after sales service, won't reply to your emails or letters. If you are able to contact them re a problem within the warranty period you will be asked to provide an engineers report which, in the case of this unit, will be more than the unit cost, and will merely state that their own brand controller isn't working. So, just dump it and buy another one. Don't look for either a replacement of a refund because you won't get it!!!!!!!!!Good luck all.

Needed more work to install than I expected
I needed to replace the old Honeywell as its LCD display deteriorated. When this arrived it said I could pair it with my existing transmitter beside my boiler. I tried the QR code for the instruction video but it did not work. I hunted YouTube and found what I think was the video. I followed the convoluted instructions many times but it would not pair with my transmitter. I messaged the seller's website, but no reply. I then decided to install the new transmitter supplied. I am not an electrician, so I was cautious. I photographed each stage so I knew which wires went where. I was successful and was able to bind the receiver to the transmitter. This took several hours. At last, I had heat. The next problem was setting the times and temperatures. I downloaded the user manual and followed the instructions and eventually, it seemed to work. However, there is a new problem. During the down periods, e.g. in the middle of the night, I began to feel the radiators hot. This is costing me a lot of money. During the night my house temperature is usually around 18.5C, and this controller is set by the manufacturers at 14C. And yet, the radiators are hot and the display shows a candle flame calling for heat. This should not be happening! When this happens I turn the unit OFF.The only solution I can think of is to alter the manufacturer's default setting for the Down periods to 5C, (as in the original Honewell device). All in all, this was not an easy project. I tried to get a heating engineer in, but nobody replied, as it's too small a job for them, so I was forced to do the work myself. It was not helped by being just out of hospital after surgery, and I was not supposed to be climbing the ladder into the loft where the boiler is installed.

No need for a Plumbing Engineer
The Room Thermostat for my Gas Boiler arrived promptly with set up instructions via UTube video which when accessed had been blocked, however other videos are available and easy to follow with success. Very pleased that this was achieved without the need for for a plumbing engineer.
