These are sturdy little things and fit well on the legs of our sofa. If you want your sofa to simply glide easily about the floor, especially a wood floor, with little to no effort, these are exactly what you need. Our sofa moved about at the slightest touch on our wood floor. Unfortunately, that was precisely what we were trying to stop - we wanted the sofa to stay in place and not go for a fast spin backwards when people sat down - so were useless from our perspective as the bottoms of the cups are very smooth.

I was very close to returning this item because the seller doesn't know what is important when it comes to castors - how big a foot can I place inside the castor ? ! ! ! The outer dimension of 54mm has little use but if you said the inner opening is 44mm in diameter with a 15mm deep recess then you know whether they are of any use to you.However, they are sturdy plastic castors selling at a bargain price and if they fit your requirements then I would recommend them to one and all.

Bought these for under the legs of 3 lovely tables also bought on Amazon. Really happy as they arrived well packed and with sticky bits for the bottom of the castors.All in all great item and great service and very good price.

These protective cups for flooring and carpets were bought to fit on a smaller item that requires moving from time to time. It’s small, as stated, but as it is made from solid hardwood, is a bit weighty! Before purchasing the cups, the cabinet would have to be lifted, or emptied, so as not to damage the flooring, now it moves smoothly when needed.

These items were put under traditional castor wheels fitted to lightweight armchairs. Before putting them in position I noted the base was not the full diameter of the castor cups which creates a small rounded shoulder. \once the cups were in position any attempt to move the armchair caused the castor cup to tilt over on the rounded shoulder and the chair wheel came out of the cup, therefore MOVE WITH CARE. These castor cups do protect carpets to a small degree but I would not recommend using them on expensive carpet nor would I recommend them for heavy furniture. If they were of a larger diameter and there was no shoulder it would be an improvement but as I have said they are useful BUT!!!
