Naughty Mauve is perfect! First, PLEASE READ DIRECTIONS in tiny print on the tube. You twist until some color is seen on the foam applicator. The first use requires more twisting, until you think it's empty and what did I buy... THEN the color comes and application is so easy and comfortable. Like a true pillow. That color stays put! Even after eating and drinking, the stain is subtle enough that my own pale lips stay in the background. This is so much more than I thought it would be when I took the chance to order it. It's sold out now... gee wonder why? ITS GREAT STUFF! The tube seems to last long. But not forever. I see this again, I might have to bulk buy! Good stuff!! Try it.

I’ve had horribly chapped lips for as long as I can recall.Lipsticks either aggravate their case, give me the “raspberries lips” or faint right away.I’ve looooved this one since the first one I bought years ago: once the ink is out and spread onto the soft tip, the application is the smoothest, silkiest feeling I’ve ever experienced. The color is vibrant and never overlays and gives that pasty look. You can either go with one coat and have it look subtle, or can apply multiple times and have it look like an actual lipstick.The best part: either you eat, drink and live your life mindlessly, it stays throughout the day and never looks like you need to reapply a layer on the inner lip part. It simply gradually fades away, or can be complimented by a transparent gloss.Once off, my lips feel soft and not stressed.It’s as easy to apply as to remove.I take it everywhere, because it’s compact, adjustable and actually a pleasure to use.Have been buying it for years and will continue doing so!Little tip: make sure to put the cap back firmly, they tend to disappear…

I thought I got an empty tube but ends up the packaging mechanics is not very well designed.I twisted and twisted and then it stopped, nothing came out. The trick is (when it stops and seems like there’s nothing) to twist it a little bit back in the opposite direction for it to un-stop, and then twist back in the correct direction to get it back to twisting again. You might have to do it back and forth like 4 or 5 times like I did (while pushing the foam tip) but the color eventually came out! But once the color arrives, it works.Terrible design but the lip stain itself I like:I like that this was a sheer pop of natural looking pink for the days when I want to not wear full makeup but have a flush of something natural so I look alive. Goes on a lil bit oily (which I like because its moisturizing and I have dry lips) and then pat off any shine for a nice moisturized pink stain. It lasted through my lunch fine without any touch up and stayed on for the rest of the day great. Good for wearing with masks.

I admit that I only purchased this as an impulse buy, because I needed to add a few more dollars to my purchase to qualify for a better price on the items I wanted.I rarely wear lipstick, and when I do I don't wear it well. I have tried so many types over the years and I have never been a fan of any of them.I am constantly drinking water and I am too busy or lazy to reapply, so I usually look disheveled quickly. The long lasting lipsticks are sticky and drying.I am surprised to say that I really dig this product. It goes on easily with the sponge-tipped pad. It isn't super pigmented or thick. It went on easily and felt like a moisturizing balm. I waited for it to dry and set but it never did. It just set. The moisturizing feeling wore off after a while, but the color stayed for far longer than I expected and didn't dry out my lips.With other lipsticks I notice that they wear off in a very unflattering way, and flake off or wear off unevenly.This stuff even looks good when it's wearing off. It's weird, but it wears off so slowly and evenly that it's barely noticeable. I did not choose a dark color so it may differ.Overall I really like this.I gave it five stars for flavor only because there is no N/A button. It doesn't taste like anything, so I guess that's good.

I purchased this in the shades Berry Lit and Fancy Rose. The Fancy Rose (200) shade is straight up brown. I’m not sure how they get rose because there is nothing rose toned about it. Think 90’s grunge brown lipstick and this is it. It is very pigmented and leans warm. The Berry Lit (240) shade is very pigmented and vibrant with a dark pink cool undertone. This color is actually very pretty although it is a little too bold for me. The formula of these is not my favorite. I was hoping this worked like a lip stain and it does tint the lips slightly but just not enough for me. It’s not the most comfortable lip tint but it does have decent lasting power. My biggest critique is the packaging and application. I hate these sponge tip applicators. It seems very unsanitary and it’s hard to tell when you have released enough product without going way overboard. The shades are vibrant and pigments, but not very flattering on me. The ones I’ve tried either lean very cool or very warm whereas I generally prefer a more neutral/nude shade for day to day wear. Overall, I would just say this formula is ok. Not the best but not the worst. I much prefer The Balm Jour lip stains for daily wear.(swatch shown in photo along with shade 200 Fancy Rose)
